Gangsta Rap and Violence

Gangsta Rapper's did not invented knife crime, but what they do in their lyrics is spread the idea of revenge and problems solving by using guns and knifes.

The Basics of Gangsta Rap:

The lyrics in many songs contain violent and explicit lyrics that usually talk about killing someone along with sounds of gunshots in the background. It is also music that refers to women as "bitches," "whores" and sex-dispensing "hos”

"Gangsta rap " has been criticised and debated over for its graphic sexual content, violent imagery and misogyny.

"Here’s for the Bitches":
An Analysis of Gangsta Rap and Misogyny

Young people cannot blame Gangsta Rap for the choices they make, although the music uses language of disrespect. As human beings, we have the freedom to make the smart choice or the Fast Choice. The choices we make have consequences, which can be good or bad.
